Singles Day at Kelly's Korner:Stephanie-29-Brentwood TN

Hi I’m Kelly, one of Steph’s best friends. I’m taking over the good ol’ blog today! I know you probably came for your weekly Ansleigh picture fix but we’re going to focus on Ansleigh’s Mom this week! I promise it’s back to regular scheduled programming and cute kid overload next week. Today is another instalment of Singles Day over at Kelly’s Korner. I want to tell you more about Stephanie, what an amazing person she is, what an amazing mom she is and how she is going to make some man very happy one day!

Best Friends

I’ve known Steph over 10 years and can honestly say she is the most caring person I know. She is the first to call on a bad day, the first person to offer up prayers and encouragement when you feel like you’re at the bottom of the barrel, and can make you laugh when that’s the only thing that will make it better. We have seen each other through breakups, babies and now marriages. She’s a southern girl with a little flare. She enjoys shopping and girls days like we all do but can hang at any football or basketball game with the guys. Her blood runs orange and she is a passionate UT football fan. She rarely misses a football, basketball or baseball game of her brothers.

On a more logistical note, Stephanie lives in Middle Tennessee and is a banker. She is working her way up with a great company and has found a career that she loves! She has a 5 year old, Ansleigh, who if you’re lucky enough to meet, will enrich your lives just like she has ours. Ansleigh comes first and always will, which in my eyes shows what amazing person Steph is. She has recently found a love for running and is training for her first half marathon this Spring.

If I had to pick one word to describe her it would be PASSIONATE! She PASSIONATELY loves her daughter, her family and her friends. She puts her all into her job and really into everything she does. She is PASSIONATE about her beliefs and how she will raise Ansleigh to love the Lord. I will never say that Steph NEEDS a man to complete her life because that’s not true! But she DESERVES a man that will put her first and treat her like a queen.

Weekend Recap...the best one in a long time

This weekend was great just perfect I'm sure it helped that I was off yesterday and got an extra long weekend. Friday it started off with dinner and game night with our mexican family! I just love them and so lucky to be a part of such a great group of people! Game night is out new thing and its so fun for all ages we laugh a lot! Then saturday we slept till 9 which is always amazing! Then Ansleigh and I had a relaxing morning at home just playing w toys and catching up on shows. Then we headed to my brothers game and then out to dinner w my mom at Browns diner a local dive that has the best hamburger ever! Then Ansleigh and I went to Old Navy and the coat I have been eyeing for weeks was on sale for 10 bucks holy amazing I was excited! I got her a few more shirts and then me a shirt and spent less than 30 bucks crazy right? Then we came home and did nails and went to bed early. Sunday we got up and went to church with my dad and step mom and then to lunch with them at Corner Pub. Then we headed to my brothers game and they won big it was nice! Then I went to run and enjoy our beautiful weather and clean house and ansleigh went to moms to spend the night with her and Rew Rew she had fun and I got my grocery shopping done and cleaned the house and spent time with one of my favorites! Then Monday I got to sleep in and then headed to lunch with one of my best freinds we stayed talking for 3 hours and it was wonderful! Then I picked up Ansleigh and we headed to the park it was beautiful yesterday and it was packed! Then we headed home for some breakfast for dinner and got ready for the week so nice to start my week on a tuesday now come on weekend again! Cold weather is back and its supposed to be a rough week so it was nice to have beautiful weather on the weekend we could enjoy!

Our first visit from the Tooth Fairy

Last night Ansleigh lost her first tooth. It was so dramatic I never thought that tooth was coming out it was literally hanging and she was freaking out and would not let me touch it after 4 meltdowns screaming her shaking she finally let me touch it and out it came. Silly girl her tears turned to pure joy she was so excited and couldnt wait to tell everyone. We called MiMi, Bebe,PopPop, txted grandma and all our friends and she called her dad. Then it was off to sleep for the tooth fairy to come. I found these letters off pinterest to give her and then the tooth fairy brought her a gold dollar she was so excited this morning and put it right in her piggy bank! Oh the joys of having a 5 year old little girl so much drama already!

2013 What a Year this has been!

2013 started off great I got my job at Franklin Synergy and started on Jan 7th it was a great way to start off the new year. I love my job and I am so thankful how everything worked out. Ansleigh started at her new school in March and she just loves it and is thriving so well. We went to the beach and had a wonderful time in May. Ansleigh had her first dance recital and did awesome in may! I started running the same month and it has been the best thing for me. Its a great stress reliever and I can eat what I want and still stay fit! I ran my first race on July 4th downtown and just loved it! Ansleigh started gymnastics and she just loved it! I turned 29 in August starting my last year of my 20s and I feel great! We went to Chicago/Peoria Il and Ansleigh was in my aunts fashion show and got her first american girl doll! Ansleigh turned 5 in October and we started the process of kindergarten registration and testing crazy she will be starting real school next year. My car was totalled on Nov 1st and we are now proud owners of a new Nissan Rogue. We had a wonderful holiday season with our family and friends and are once again so blessed and spoiled beyong what we deserve. I have made several new friendships and strenghten some others. This has been a wonderful year it has had its ups and downs but overall we are so blessed to have the best friends and family I could ever imagine and I look forward to 2014 and what is yet to come. I will be with the bank a year on the 7th, my best friend is getting married in June, Ansleigh will start kindergarten in August, and who knows what else the year has in store. Bring on 2014!!

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day 2013

Wow I cant believe christmas has come and gone already! Christmas eve I worked till 1 and then we headed to my grandmas to do my moms side of the family it was fun and Ansleigh got spoiled of course and then we spend the night at my moms that night to wake up and do Santa there in the morning. Then we wake up and then head to my dads for more presnets and santa! Then we got to go home and unload and Ansleigh tried to play with everything she got in two hours since she had to go to her dads for a week I tried to tell her it was all going to be there when she got back but she insisted she play with everything lol. She got everything on her list and she said she even got things she didnt ask for but really wanted! we had a wonderful christmas and got so spoiled we are so lucky! I am back to work today and so not excited about it at least tommorow is friday ready for a fun weekend!
